An improvised lighter made of scrap and an empty shell. Lasts less than a true lighter and is 20 grams heavier, but it is a good piece of equipment for early game when lighters can be scarce and the player wants to save matches.
When the fuel runs out, the lighter will break and disappear from the inventory.

- Making a fire with the lighter requires 10 firewood but if the player has less than 10 pieces, a fire can still be created.
- Making a handmade lighter requires a rifle shell but any other type of shell will allow you to craft it.
