Honey is extremely nourishing and fully depletes any level of hunger. Though, it is recommended to save honey for trading, and to use other sources of food for hunger.
Be careful when carrying it, as bears love honey! When sleeping without a fire, there is a good chance a bear will attack you, steal your honey, and destroy your backpack!

- Before update 1.595, honey would also cure 25 points of poison, making it even more valuable for trade.
