Experience can be obtained in combat or by having it complete commands. Whenever the polar fox takes part in a combat, the total experience will be divided evenly between the Survivor and the pet as long as the battle is won. When defeated, enemies give a fixed amount of experience based on their kind.

Feeding

Similar to the pet Wolf, the polar fox is a carnivorous animal which feeds mainly on meat and fish. If the polar fox gets too hungry, it will not be able to perform any actions until it is fed. Like any other pets, the hunger meter only goes down if the pet is curing itself from wound, participating in a battle, or performing commands. As a consequence, if a pet is at full health and the player never includes it in battles or never sends it off to perform tasks, the pet will not need to be fed.

The pet eats variety of meat types including radiated ones and some other special meat dishes. The pet needs to be constantly fed if survivors wished to achieve maximum satiation level. Below is a guide to its hunger meter:

  • Completely Satiated (100%)
  • Satiated (75%)
  • A little hungry (50%)
  • Hungry (25%)
  • Very hungry (0%)

Healing

The polar fox will not die if its health has reach near critical level however, during this time the pet will not be able to perform activities such as receive commands and fight in battles. Healing occurs naturally but it takes a few days to restore the pets health to its maximum. Survivors can speed up the healing process with the use of medicines.

Note: Amount of healing materials will depend on how severe the pet was injured. The more badly they are injured, the higher the cost of healing.

Trivia
