Details
The Chelyabinsk survivor camp lies to the south of the city of the same name. This camp located roughly between Sverdlovsk and Magnitogorsk (Both camps are also members of the same faction) is considered the head of the Iron Front faction.
Chelyabinsk people have access to special equipment that let them create metal crafts that can be found on sale with the local trader and even possess the know-how to refine the titanium ore mined near Magnitogorsk to create an alloy, material used in a few special items like the powerful Prospector's Armor and the BelAZ.
This is the first camp to have access to the railroad and the only Iron Front member with a train station, it is also the first stop of the train.
Lore
Being professional in metal processing and laborship, Chelyabinsk citizen established the survivor camp brotherhood, along with the central workshop. They introduce new currency for accomodating economy in their region. Later on, they provide access to Trans-Siberian Railways to keep their precious stuff are distributed to the eastern cities.[1]
Mainline quests
Chelyabinsk is a forced stop in order to complete the main quest way back home, in order to complete this part of the quest, the survivor must find and persuade Spiridon Kugel to follow him to Ufa and assemble an anti-tank missile system.
This is the only story quest found on Chelyabinsk.
Special residents
Some of the camp residents standout from the rest, not for their work, but because they are related to the survivor's journey through the wasteland.
Spiridon Kugel |
---|
A retired army engineer that lives in Chelyabinsk with his wife Lyuba. A heavy drinker, Spiridon spends most of his time drinking at his house or with his friends.
Lyuba Kugel |
---|
Spiridon's wife. Lyuba lives with her husband in the Chelyabinsk camp. Not a friendly person and tired of Spiridon's drinking habits. (Lyuba only appears the first time the survivor speaks to Spiridon).
Reputation
Survivor camps operate on a reputation system for foreigners and those who are not part of their factions, which means, when the survivor makes contact with any of the settlements scattered throughout the former Soviet union, it will be normal for the locals to be wary of him.
This lack of confidence is reflected in the items available for sale with the local trader, a few special items will be locked; the same applies for the workshop, with a low reputation, the workshop can't be upgraded and, as for the the buyer, he will start with the lowest ammount of money (Iron nuts) available when selling unwanted goods; The spending limit of the buyer will increase as the survivor climbs the reputation ladder in the camp.

Camp activities
Chelyabinsk houses a wide variety of residents; some of them offer their services for a small fee. One must keep in mind that the survivor camps don't operate on a bartering system (like it used to do before version 1.700); goods must be bought or sold using the local currency. Chelyabinsk uses iron nuts as their coin of choice.
Bartender: Quests

---|
What better way to improve one's reputation and win a few iron nuts than visiting the local bar. The bartender is always looking for someone who can help around the settlement and its people. Accepting quests will allow the survivor to escalate in the reputation ladder and gain riches in the process.
Quests in the camp are classified by their difficulty, 1 star being the easiest quests and 5 stars the hardest; these quests range from escorting another survivor to a neighboring camp or fending off enemy attacks.
