To celebrate Christmas and New Year in the year 2020, Day R released a limited time event on v.675. This event builds off of mechanics first introduced in the 2018 Christmas event, but still significantly different.

The event commences on the 23rd of December and ends on the 24th of January 2021. During this event, players will encounter Snegurochka (Ded Moroz grandaughter) and is need of help in finding his missing grandfather, Ded Moroz. This will be the main storyline of the event (Festive Miracle) and players will need to accept a series of tasks/quests from Snegurochka in order to complete the storyline. Quests have varying difficulties and can be in the form of defeating ice brigands or snowmen, repairing, delivering and even gathering items.
New Year Tree
The initiation to the quasi-quest is found on the top left corner of the game screen and it represents a green pine tree icon.
The 2020 New Years event requires you to decorate the New Year Tree with Magic Balls. Magic Balls are obtained through completing quests from Snegurochka and each quest completed gives you Magic Balls x1. Upon collecting enough Magic Balls to decorate the New Year Tree, players can redeem gifts that is exclusive to the New Years event.
The highlight of the New Years event is the coveted Moroz's Terem. This particular building is capable of prolonging shelf-life of perishable food items 100 times longer. This can only be obtained by completing all the main storyline quests and receiving a Magic Cone after each completion. Each main quest yields Magic Cone x1. Magic Cone can be used to redeem unique gifts that is not only limited to Moroz's Terem.
Unique Gifts
Unique gifts are the highlighted items in the 2020 New Years Event. When players obtained enough Magic Balls and Magic Cones to decorate the New Year Tree, players will be able to redeem these unique gifts. Below are the unique gift items offered from this event:
- Moroz's Terem
- Polar Armor I (can be reinforced/upgraded to lvl 3)
- Icicle Thrower
- Great Fishing Rod
- Polar Axe
- Cotton-Wool Beard
Extra Gifts
Aside from unique gifts, players can also redeem other gift items that is exclusive from the event. With enough Magic Balls to decorate the New Year Tree, listed below are some of the possible items that players can acquire:
- Snowman Ball
- Sparkler
- Party Popper
- Firework
- Champagne
- Olivier Salad
- Caviar Sandwich
- Tangerine
Enemy Loots
In the 2020 New Year Event, some of the quests offered by Snegurochka require players to defeat enemies. These are often Snowmen, Ice Brigands, Looters and Imposters. Upon death of these enemies, the loot they drop can vary depending on the type of enemies and the list of possible loots are listed below:
Christmas Mood
Players who experienced the effect of Christmas Mood enjoys massive boost to their characters. In order to achieve this particular effect, players must consume/eat Olivier Salad which is a food item exclusive from the New Year Event.
Effects:
- Sickness and Injury Duration: -25%
- Max Food: +100
- Max Energy: +100
The effect will lasts for 7 days in-game and players must need to eat this item again if they wish to extend the duration for another 7 days. Olivier Salad does not spoil nor expire.
Previous Event Comparison
This event used some of the mechanics first introduced in the 2018 Christmas event, but it is still significantly different. Snowmen also appeared during that event, and also dropped presents and Christmas decorations. The presents in 2018 contained different drops compared to the 2019 event, and while both years contained tangerines, Olivier Salad is new to the 2018 event.
The way snowmen appear is also changed from the previous year. In the past the snowmen attack event was triggered at midnight, while in 2019 they appear in a manner more like normal mobs, not limited to a random daily trigger. Snowmen are also harder, and there is a greater variety in types of snowmen and their weapons.
In the past event, it was necessary to have the Christmas tree up over the in-game Christmas period to receive a present, but this mechanic was removed in 2019. Having the Christmas tree up over December 25th gave no special present. Additionally, in 2018 you could receive this yearly present multiple times, and once per house where one as set up, but in 2019 there is no added benefit to having trees set up at multiple bases, as you could only set a singular table and celebrate to receive the map once.
Tangerines are a returning item, and it is possible to turn them into seeds and grow them in a greenhouse outside of the event period.
